Job summary

Vaco is seeking a Senior Network Engineer (Fortinet / Cisco) for a Direct-Hire role in Irving, TX. The position focuses on integrating acquired networks into a golden configuration, managing large-scale enterprise infrastructure, and leading network projects with cross-functional teams.

You will design, implement, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, data center, and security networks, while mentoring engineers and driving continuous improvements across HA, performance, and security.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in enterprise data center networking with Cisco and Fortinet.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 7K/9K, FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer.
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and routing redesign.
• M&A network integration and migration planning.
• Ability to design, deploy, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN and data center networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute large-scale migration and standardization of networks.
• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, and data center networks.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead network projects.
• Develop comprehensive network documentation.
