Job summary

Service Credit Union is seeking a Network Engineer II to evaluate, design, and maintain the enterprise network and IT systems. The role involves collaborating with IT management to deploy and sustain network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, and datacenter environments.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of Network Engineer experience, a Cisco CCNA, and strong routing/switching knowledge. This is an on-site role with a hybrid schedule; candidates must reside within 60 miles of the Portsmouth,

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Information Systems or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Cisco CCNA certification required.
• Juniper JNCIA or JNCIP preferred.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, Aruba in data center and enterprise networks.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain the IT network infrastructure.
• Manage the LAN/WAN, datacenters, and remote branches.
• Monitor LAN/WAN performance to ensure reliability.
• Perform network maintenance and upgrades on network hardware and software.
• Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network appliances.
• Create and maintain network topology diagrams and keep them up to date.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation with network/sys team.
• Provide helpdesk support and troubleshooting for network issues.
• Back up configurations of all network equipment.
• Attend to other duties as assigned.
