Iridium Satellite LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain the ground network infrastructure across multiple sites. The role emphasizes fault-tolerant and scalable solutions with autonomous execution of improvements.

You will lead efforts in configuring Cisco devices, firewalls, and AWS services, while maintaining strong documentation and compliant practices. A 60% in-office hybrid schedule is expected, with willingness to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or similar field.
• 8+ years of experience managing mid-to-large LAN/WAN networks.
• Hands-on with routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
• Experience with configuration management using Ansible.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Support operations and engineering tasks to improve network availability and reliability.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco ISR/ASR, Catalyst/Nexus, firewalls, AWS).
• Maintain documentation and adhere to configuration management rules for compliance.
• Research network products and standards to stay updated with industry trends.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support as needed.
• Collaborate across programs to implement value-added network improvements.
