Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to manage multi-site WANs and cloud-driven networking from Richmond, VA. The role blends on-site field work with hybrid office presence four days a week, focusing on secure access, SD-WAN, and network performance monitoring.

The ideal candidate has ~5 years of hands-on WAN/LAN experience, Cisco IOS/NX-OS mastery, and CCNA certification, plus familiarity with ISE, Duo, and Meraki. Travel and after-hours on-call are required.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of hands-on WAN/LAN management experience.
• Proven Cisco switching/routing experience (IOS/NX-OS).
• Solid knowledge of L2/L3 networking standards (VLANs, STP, QoS, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Hands-on with SD-WAN and cloud-managed systems (e.g., Meraki).
• Experience with NAC/MFA and telemetry tools (ISE, Duo, Cloudflare Zero Trust, ThousandEyes, SolarWinds, Splunk).
• Scripting ability (Python/PowerShell/Bash) for operations.
• CCNA certification; willingness to travel regionally and participate in after-hours on-call.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain multi-site WAN infrastructure across regions.
• Manage VLANs, QoS, and routing protocols; oversee SD-WAN deployments.
• Administer NAC/MFA and secure access controls; monitor border security.
• Use telemetry tools to analyze performance and generate RCAs.
• Coordinate field deployments, on-site support and hardware installs.
• Maintain asset registers and update topology/runbooks; handle change management.
