Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Network Engineer to join our client’s team in Columbia, MD on a 6-month contract with the potential to transition to full-time after 6–12 months. Onsite presence is required three days per week at the headquarters.

You will work with Meraki switches and wireless, SD-WAN (Aruba Silver Peak), and Cisco ISE/ACI training, replacing legacy Catalyst switches with Meraki gear. 3–5 years of experience and a BS degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in information systems, computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field; 3–5 years of network engineering experience preferred.
• CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or CWNA is preferred.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki switches and wireless products across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and implementation of large enterprise network solutions.
• Provide tier-3 support to network operations and resolve networking issues.
• Create and maintain network design documentation.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects on evaluation of new technologies and vendor selection.
• Support SD-WAN deployment and maintenance, including Meraki and Silver Peak platforms.
