Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking a Network & WAN Administrator to manage multi-site telecommunications infrastructure across regional facilities in Virginia. The role combines WAN/SD-WAN engineering, secure access control, and cloud-driven networking with hands-on field deployments and on-site support.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on networking experience, Cisco IOS/NX-OS expertise, and strong knowledge of security and monitoring tools. Travel and after-hours on-call are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of hands-on WAN/LAN experience.
• Cisco IOS and NX-OS switching/routing expertise.
• Strong knowledge of VLANs, STP, QoS, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-site WAN/infrastructure across core and remote sites.
• Administer NAC with Cisco ISE, MFA, and Cloudflare Zero Trust.
• Monitor telemetry with ThousandEyes, SolarWinds, PRTG, and Splunk; perform RCA.
• Coordinate security vetting, patch management, and risk remediation.
• Oversee on-site hardware deployments, cabling, and rack-and-stack.
• Maintain asset registers and document topology maps and SOPs.
• Travel regionally across Virginia and participate in after-hours on-call.
