Express Employment International in Oklahoma City seeks a Payroll Auditor to conduct structured audits of timekeeping and payroll records across multiple U.S. states and Canadian provinces, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws and internal policies.

You will review payroll data, document findings, prepare audit reports, and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements, with a 4-day in-office schedule and one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll compliance, wage and hour auditing, HR compliance, or related regulatory/audit work.
• Experience with multi-state or cross-border (U.S. and Canada) employment requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic audits of timekeeping and payroll records across jurisdictions.
• Assess compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local wage and hour laws.
• Evaluate internal payroll policies and procedures across jurisdictions.
• Use audit tools and checklists to ensure repeatable, defensible audit outcomes.
• Track results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to management.
• Stay current with changes in employment verification laws in the U.S. and Canada.
• Develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
• Perform other duties to support the Compliance Audit Program.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, Legal Studies, or related field
