Job summary

Lument is seeking an Associate to support underwriting of multifamily mortgage financing programs. You will drive document requests, analyze credit and financial information, and help determine risk while collaborating with underwriting teams and borrowers.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in commercial real estate, with familiarity in Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac multifamily programs. Strong analytical ability and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or Business Administration.
• 1–3 years of commercial real estate experience required; multifamily preferred.
• Experience with Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac Multifamily loan programs preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, financial statement analysis, and mortgage calculations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior staff during the loan underwriting process by requesting and managing due diligence documentation.
• Prepare and maintain due diligence checklists and workbooks to meet underwriting dates.
• Collect and review underwriting documentation and advise the team on status.
• Input data into the pipeline management platform and underwriting workbook.
• Coordinate with third party managers and borrowers; participate in regular calls to update status.
• Review property operating statements, rent rolls, and third party reports; analyze data with underwriter.
• Assemble loan package and ensure quality control for investor delivery after closing.
• Reconcile final loan accounting and maintain organized loan files.
• Travel as required based on experience.
