Job summary

Lument in Dallas seeks an Associate to support underwriting multifamily mortgage financing. You will drive data collection, analyze credit and financial statements, and coordinate with borrowers and third parties to keep the underwriting process on track.

A detail-oriented and collaborative mindset is essential to success. You will prepare due diligence checklists, manage documents, input data into the pipeline platform, and help assemble loan packages for investors after closing.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of commercial real estate experience required; multifamily preferred.
• Experience with Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac Multifamily loan programs preferred.
• High-level knowledge of financial statement analysis, general accounting, cash flows and mortgage interest calculations.
• Knowledge of real estate finance and/or investment real estate, particularly multifamily.
• Highly analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; team collaboration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior staff/Underwriter during loan underwriting by requesting, collecting, and managing due diligence documentation.
• Prepare, distribute, and maintain Due Diligence Checklists and Application Workbooks; meet target underwriting dates.
• Collect, review, and advise on underwriting documentation status.
• Establish and maintain loan files; organize documents in electronic storage.
• Input data into the proprietary pipeline management platform.
• Coordinate with Third Party Manager and Underwriter for required third party reports.
• Participate in calls with borrowers regarding due diligence status and timing.
• Analyze property data including operating statements and rent rolls; update underwriting workbook.
• Review reports upon receipt of due diligence and flag material issues to Underwriter.
• Assist with assembling loan packages and delivering to Investors; support closing.
• Reconcile and approve final loan accounting.
