Job summary

ORIX USA is seeking an Associate to support underwriting multifamily mortgage financing programs. The role emphasizes attention to detail, organization, and analytical ability, driving document requests, collection, and underwriting processes while analyzing credit and financial information.

The candidate should have 1-3 years of commercial real estate experience, preferably multifamily, and knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac programs, with a base salary in the six-figure range for US

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of commercial real estate experience required; multifamily strongly preferred.
• Experience with Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac Multifamily loan programs preferred.
• High-level knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flows and mortgage interest calculations.
• Knowledge of real estate finance and investment real estate, especially multifamily.
• Highly analytical thinking with talent for improving complex processes.
• Results-driven with planning, multitasking, and attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and relationship-building with clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist underwriting during loan processes by gathering due diligence documents.
• Prepare and maintain due diligence checklists and workbooks.
• Collect and track underwriting documentation status.
• Establish and maintain loan files and organize documentation.
• Input data into the proprietary pipeline management system.
• Coordinate with third party manager and underwriter for reports.
• Participate in calls with borrowers regarding due diligence status.
• Work with underwriter to analyze property data and reports.
• Notify underwriter of material issues after due diligence.
• Assemble loan packages for investors post-closing.
