Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Liquidation Manager to lead a team handling short sales and deeds in lieu, working on a hybrid schedule in Plano, TX. The role requires mortgage industry and loss mitigation experience, with strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities include overseeing staff interactions with borrowers and agents, ensuring investor approval, and monthly reporting to Senior Management. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college courses in business/finance preferred.
• Five or more years’ mortgage industry experience.
• Two or more years in loss mitigation/negotiation.
• Knowledge of mortgage/real estate terminology.
• Knowledge of industry software in sales/collections.
• Strong ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff handling inbound/outbound calls from borrowers, agents and attorneys on short sale and deed in lieu requests.
• Analyze Short Sale and REO transactions to assure investor approval and compliance.
• Negotiate offers to meet valuation targets and present counter offers to agents/attorneys.
• Submit negotiated files to senior management/investors for approval.
• Decline offers with large variance between offer price and valuation.
• Provide monthly reporting to Senior Management.
• Manage postponements of foreclosure sales to allow review time.
• Attend mediation/settlement hearings; some travel required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
