Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Liquidation Negotiator to negotiate short sale offers and deeds in lieu of foreclosure, collaborating with real estate agents, attorneys, and other third parties.

The role focuses on reducing loss severity, presenting counter offers, and submitting files for senior management approval while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. A hybrid schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two (2) or more years of loss mitigation/negotiation experience are required.
• Knowledge of mortgage/real estate terminology is required.
• Knowledge of industry software in sales/collections is required.

Responsibilities

• Receives inbound calls to answer borrower, real estate agent, attorney and authorized third party questions regarding Liquidation and deed in lieu of foreclosure requests.
• Conveys approvals and declines to real estate agents, attorneys, and authorized third parties.
• Negotiates and formulates counter offers that reduce loss severity and meet or exceed company valuation, presenting them to agents and attorneys.
• Submits negotiated files to senior management for approval.
• Declines offers with excessive variance between purchase price and valuation.
