Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services, part of The Carrington Companies, seeks a Liquidation Negotiator to manage short sale offers and deeds in lieu of foreclosure. The role negotiates and recommends exit strategies to minimize loss and ensure compliance with policies and regulations, with a hybrid work arrangement.

The position requires 2+ years in loss mitigation/negotiation, knowledge of mortgage terminology, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of loss mitigation/negotiation experience required.
• Some college courses in business or finance preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage/real estate terminology required.
• Knowledge of industry and/or company-specific software in sales/collections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives inbound calls to answer borrower, real estate agent, attorney and authorized third party questions regarding Liquidation and deed in lieu of foreclosure requests.
• Conveys approvals and declines to real estate agents, attorneys, and authorized third parties.
• Negotiates and presents counteroffers that align with company valuations and presents to agents/attorneys/third parties.
• Submits negotiated files to senior management for approval.
• Postpones foreclosure sales when additional time is needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
