Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and mechanical systems for residential and commercial building projects in a hybrid San Diego setting. You will contribute from concept through construction, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients.

Requirements include 2+ years in mechanical engineering/design and a Bachelor’s in ME. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred; familiarity with California codes is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical engineering or mechanical design experience.
• Hands on experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for buildings.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical systems for residential and commercial building projects.
• Support projects from conceptual design through construction documentation and administration.
• Develop layouts for ductwork, ventilation, piping, and related systems.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, schedules, and calculations.
