Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with PE to join our Orlando team on a hybrid schedule. You will lead mechanical design efforts for complex building systems, coordinating with architecture and structure teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10+ years of experience in MEP or engineering consulting, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and a track record on Commercial, Healthcare, and high-rise projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited College or University.
• PE license required.
• 8 to 10+ years of experience with an MEP or Engineering Consulting firm designing HVAC building systems on complex projects.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experienced in Commercial Buildings, Healthcare Projects, Theme Parks, Federal, Entertainment, Healthcare, Aviation, High-Rise, Multi-Family, etc.
• Develop HVAC designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Coordinate HVAC design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and mechanical system layouts, and detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Experience with direct client contact and fostering those relationships. Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
• Support business development initiatives by assisting the RFP process and interview process.
• Actively engage in community and/or industry-specific organizations.
• Experience and interest in Sustainable Building Design.
• LEED AP or LEED GA with previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process.
• An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and how architects work and think.
