Job summary

Centene is seeking a healthcare contact center professional to make outbound calls welcoming new members and educating them on plan features and requirements. The hybrid role requires onsite work at the Des Moines, IA office based on business needs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in customer service, healthcare experience, and strong verbal/written communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office and data entry systems is expected, with a focus on accurate call documentation and QA metrics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare call center environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and data entry systems.
• Experience with data entry and call documentation.
• Strong verbal, written and problem solving communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to welcome new members and provide information about program features and requirements.
• Use verbal communication strategies to elicit information, gain member confidence and provide reassurance.
• Identify trends from outbound calls that could improve policy or procedures.
• Meet quality assurance requirements and other key performance metrics including punctuality and attendance.
• Facilitate quarterly Member Advisory meetings.
