Job summary

Panoramic Health is seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to support the office manager with administrative and clinical duties. This role includes check-in/check-out, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and collecting copays, while also rooming patients and assisting providers with exams and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program, be CMA-certified (AAMA) or equivalent, and have experience with athenaClinicals EMR and PMD soft.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification by the AAMA (CMA) preferred.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of MA experience in a physician office.
• Familiar with athenaClinicals EMR and PMD soft.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and performs Check-in/Check-out procedures, collects co-pays and outstanding balances, and schedules procedures.
• Answers phone calls promptly, schedules appointments, and manages clinical inboxes in athenaClinicals.
• Rooms patients, performs full intake (vitals, allergies, meds) and documents in athenaClinicals.
• Assess symptoms and document appropriately; coordinate with physician, PA, or NP.
• Collect specimens and follow CLIA regulations; assist with referrals, labs, and imaging.
