Job summary

KPFF Special Projects Division is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3-6 years of experience for Seattle or Tacoma offices. The role focuses on designing and analyzing mechanical systems, machine design, and support for heavy civil and waterfront projects.

Collaboration with project teams and clients is essential, along with strong communication and documentation skills. Candidate should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an EIT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• EIT is required.
• Exposure to project engineering and project management is preferred.
• Strong understanding of machine design, statics, dynamics, kinematics, fluids, and strength of materials.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mechanical design and analysis for Seattle/Tacoma projects.
• Collaborate with project team and clients across multiple disciplines.
• Assist with documentation, drawings, and design reviews.
