Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Drafter 2 in Tampa, FL, offering a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days. You will support mechanical design teams by preparing and modifying CAD drawings and 3D layout deliverables for Oil & Gas and Power projects, incorporating engineering markups and assisting with physical design packages.

Essential qualifications include an Associate degree in drafting or CAD, at least 1 year of drafting experience, and proficiency with CAD/3D

Qualifications

Associate degree in drafting or CAD technology or equivalent experience.
At least 1 year of drafting experience in industrial mechanical design.
Working knowledge of mechanical general arrangements, piping systems and supports.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD software and 3D layout tools.
Strong communication, organization, accuracy, multitasking and schedule-management skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare, revise and maintain complex drawings and layouts using CAD/3D tools.
Interpret and incorporate engineering markups into project drawings.
Support multidisciplinary teams in developing mechanical 3D layout drawings.
Follow company and project drafting standards per plans, schedules and budgets.
Assist with field activities: measurements, tie-ins, walkdowns, data collection.
Maintain communication with project team to deliver accurate, timely design outputs.
