Honeywell Aerospace US LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and development of cutting‑edge mechanical solutions for gas turbine engines. The role requires NX CAD modeling, GD&T proficiency, and collaboration across engineering teams.

You will mentor junior engineers and participate in all product development phases from concept to production support, with a hybrid work arrangement after an initial onsite period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics).
• 5+ years of experience using CAD tools for mechanical design.
• 2+ years of experience with Gas Turbine Engines and turbomachinery components.
• Experience with Gas Turbine Engines, Fan, Compressor, Combustor, Mechanical Components or Turbine modules.
• Understanding of ASME Y14.100 drawing standards including GD&T, GD&T.
• Experience performing tolerance stack ups for assembly and interface definition.

Responsabilités

• Imagine, design, development, and optimization of gas turbine engines, focusing on performance, durability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop integrated solutions meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in all phases of product development from conceptual design through testing, certification and production support.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to foster technical growth and best practices.
• Design engineering using CAD (NX) based modeling and perform weight optimization.
• Engineering analysis and tolerance stack up preparation; design for manufacturing and cost estimation.
• Travel up to 10% and relocation support may be provided.
