Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a mechanical engineer with gas turbine experience for the Legacy Engines, APU & Adv Tech Turbine group in Phoenix. The role covers design, analysis, fabrication support, and testing, with emphasis on turbine stress and lifing capabilities.

You will work in a hybrid schedule out of Phoenix, collaborating with global teams on advanced concepts and customer-focused solutions. A strong technical background and mentoring ability are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in gas turbine engineering and turbine component design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cooled and uncooled turbine mechanical design efforts and lead projects.
• Apply stress, fatigue, creep, burst, crack growth, and probabilistic lifing to turbine components.
• Lead development of concepts for stress reduction and weight optimization.
• Support engine test activities and instrument selection and test planning.
• Collaborate with global teams to meet design cycle and cost targets.
