Job summary

Medical Mutual seeks a Manager, Epic Payer Platform Data Engineering to lead the EPP data engineering team during a major interoperability implementation. You will oversee data integrations, governance, and secure exchanges with provider organizations and healthcare systems to enable downstream clinical, quality, risk-adjustment, and population-health capabilities.

This role partners with Epic, business stakeholders, and IT teams, guiding architecture, data models, and roadmaps while promoting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software development or related field or equivalent years experience.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in data engineering, integration, software engineering, or healthcare technology, with lead experience.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise tech implementations and healthcare payer data interoperability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineers and technical analysts in designing, delivering, and supporting integration pipelines.
• Establish secure, scalable integration patterns for eligibility and clinical data.
• Develop data quality measures and dashboards aligned to business needs.
• Ensure the data warehouse is refined to deliver new facts and metrics for users.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with Epic, business and IT stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Sales, Health Informatics, Provider, Finance, IT and UX teams.
