Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on experience developing mainframe applications with COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, MQ.
• Experience with healthcare claims adjudication processes and related business workflows.
• Knowledge of code migration and release management, including package creation, environment promotion, deployment validation, and backout procedures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for complex application and production issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in an Agile, onsite and offshore delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain healthcare claims applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, MQ.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient mainframe solutions that support claims adjudication workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, conduct code reviews, and implement fixes.
• Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, code migration, and production deployment.
• Provide technical leadership to offshore team members and coordinate onsite and offshore delivery.
