Job summary

Buckingham Search is partnering with a large, publicly traded global manufacturer to recruit a Technical Accounting Manager. This role is the go-to expert on US GAAP/IFRS, leading complex accounting matters, research, and policy adoption, including M&A workstreams.

The ideal candidate is a Big 4-trained CPA with 8–12 years in corporate accounting and external reporting, strong SEC experience, and proven ability to drive accounting from deals through integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s a plus.
• CPA required.
• 8–12 years of corporate accounting and external reporting with a strong SEC focus.
• Big 4 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting under US GAAP and IFRS.
• Research and document accounting positions for complex transactions with memos.
• Lead M&A accounting workstream from due diligence through post-close integration.
• Prepare opening balance sheets and business combination memos; coordinate valuations.
• Monitor FASB/IASB guidance and advise on impact.
