Job summary

Suffolk Credit Union is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist to manage daily loan administration tasks across the full loan lifecycle. You will ensure accurate processing, timely payments, escrow activity, and strict adherence to lending policies while delivering excellent member service.

The role requires 1–2 years of admin support, strong data accuracy, and familiarity with core banking systems. Hybrid work accepts 3 days onsite in Medford, NY with some remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of administrative support experience required.
• Knowledge of loan servicing functions: payments, escrows, payoffs, lien processing.
• Understanding of lending regulations.
• Proficiency with core banking systems and lending software.
• Data accuracy and confidentiality are essential.
• Strong organization and time management to meet deadlines.
• Excellent member service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Process loan bookings, renewals, and maintenance requests in DNA and related systems.
• Review loan documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor daily reports for payment exceptions and resolve issues.
• Maintain collateral records and lien perfection/releases.
• Process payoffs, satisfactions, subordinations, reconveyances.
• Administer escrow accounts and analyses.
• Post and balance daily loan payments and adjustments.
• Respond to member and internal inquiries with courteous service.
• Assist with year-end reporting and monthly reconciliations.
• Maintain audit trails per retention and compliance standards.
• Support audits and collaborate with other departments to ensure data accuracy.
• Promote process improvements and complete required training.
