Job summary

Native American Bank is seeking a Loan Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support staff development within a hybrid work model near Denver, CO.

You will lead a team responsible for loan processing, boarding, collateral perfection, and coordinating with lenders and internal departments while ensuring adherence to SBA/USDA and government-guaranteed programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; equivalently related experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of commercial lending experience with loan processing, funding, docs, collateral perfection, and portfolio maintenance.
• Knowledge of SBA and USDA guidelines, processes, and servicing regulations.
• Familiarity with New Markets Tax Credits is helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret complex documents.
• Strong understanding of accounting topics affecting loan portfolios.
• Strong regulatory and reporting standards knowledge.
• Experience with complex commercial loan structures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft applications.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day workflow of the Loan Operations Department.
• Lead, train, and mentor loan operations staff; set performance goals and conduct evaluations.
• Develop and implement loan operations procedures and internal controls.
• Resolve complex loan-related issues and serve as a point of contact for lenders and other departments.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow.
• Stay current on regulations; research and implement changes as needed.
• Review government-guaranteed credit programs (BIA, SBA, HUD, USDA) requirements.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for board meetings and guarantees.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve complex financial issues and inquiries.
• Manage loan processing, boarding, collateral perfection, and payment processing.
• Direct loan closings with counsel and SBA/USDA consultants; review documents.
• Ensure loan files meet completeness and regulatory standards.
• Oversee special assets, charged-off loans, repossessions, and syndications.
• Manage construction draws processing and audit readiness.
• Support audits and examinations; liaise with auditors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
