Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong preference for insurance defense.
• Experience billing time as a paralegal; familiarity with law-firm billing practices.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills for clear documentation.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with multiple tasks.
• Proven ability to draft written discovery and manage documents.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage large case materials.
• Tech-savvy with proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.

Responsibilities

• Play a critical role in case preparation by obtaining medical records through authorizations and subpoenas, ensuring timely follow-ups with providers.
• Maintain and streamline case data with well-structured discovery and records organizational charts to enhance efficiency.
• Conduct vital research by issuing Public Records Requests and performing background investigations to support litigation strategy.
• Analyze and summarize medical records summaries and medical treatment chronologies that provide crucial case insights.
• Draft and prepare answers to Complaints; support attorneys in depositions and discovery with discovery requests and responses, witness disclosures, and affidavits.
• Support attorneys in depositions and discovery by summarizing transcripts and managing key documents for timely follow-ups.
