Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Device Innovations USA, Inc. is seeking a Lightwave Technology Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and market expansion for compound semiconductor lasers used in data center optical networking and fiber optic communications. You will lead account strategy, develop key relationships, manage the full sales lifecycle, and coordinate with our teams in the U.S.

and Japan. The role requires travel and a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing major accounts and strategic customer relationships.
• Experience with technology hardware companies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop account strategies and plans aligned to customer needs and company capabilities.
• Manage complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and Japan offices.
• Coordinate with marketing on conferences and events.
• Maintain accurate forecasts, CRM data, and pipeline.
• Provide reports to senior leadership and support budgeting.
