Sun Life U.S. is a leading provider of life and disability claims, offering a hybrid work model with in-office collaboration at least 2 days per week. The Life Benefit Case Manager I conducts reviews, investigates liability, and adjudicates complex claims under supervision to ensure policy compliance.

In this role you will calculate benefits, document analysis, and collaborate with beneficiaries, employers, and benefit administrators while maintaining high quality and customer service standards.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years of claims experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate with professionalism and compassion to gather data for eligibility.
• Adjudicate claims per policy and regulations.
• Calculate complex benefit payments, including interest where applicable.
• Meet quality, productivity and customer service standards for reviews and decisions.
• Engage in team meetings and Continuous Improvement forums to identify process improvements.
• Document analysis for claim decisions in online systems.
• Escalate issues to management as needed.
• Work independently in a virtual team environment.
• Maintain flexibility and agile mindset.
• Mentor and train less experienced staff.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes.
