Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Client Delivery Specialist (Legal Assistant) to serve as the primary operational partner for assigned attorneys, managing workflow, cross-functional coordination, and administrative support while reducing attorney project-management burden.

This position may be filled in a hybrid capacity with an onsite component in one of our locations; the role emphasizes strategic workflow ownership, client communications, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate professional and educational experience required.
• 5+ years relevant experience providing comprehensive support to organizational leadership, preferably in a professional services environment.
• 3+ years relevant legal assistance experience required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, including providing concise, solution-oriented status updates to attorneys and stakeholders.
• Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm; transcription experience preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and composure.
• Proactive problem-solving and workflow management; adaptability in dynamic, high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle workflow for assigned attorneys.
• Anticipate attorney needs, prioritize tasks, and resolve administrative challenges.
• Coordinate ongoing projects, track milestones, and provide status reports.
• Handle special projects to support attorney efficiency and firm goals.
• Use workflow software to log and manage tasks and progress.
• Coordinate intake, conflicts checks, and engagement processes.
• Assist in billing processes: time entry, inquiries, and collections.
• Coordinate attorney calendars, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics.
