Job summary

GFT is seeking a Team Leader/Sr Project Manager - Roadway Engineering to join our Transportation Team in Omaha, NE. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Omaha, NE office.

The successful candidate will lead design and plan submittals for highways, intersections, bridges and drainage, manage project budgets, and mentor team members. A PE license and 15 years’ roadway experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering required.
• Minimum of 15 years' professional roadway engineering experience.
• Experience leading a team.
• Registered as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), preferably in Nebraska or Iowa.
• Experience in design and preparation of plan submittals related to highway and arterial roadway design, complex intersection design, local roadways, site design, bridge replacement/rehabilitation, traffic design, drainage design for NDOT, MoDOT, KDOT and Iowa DOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform project management and engineering tasks for planning and design of transportation facilities such as freeways, arterials, intersections, railroad and drainage.
• Oversee project delivery with direction to team members for roadway, traffic, drainage and site design projects.
• Oversee team workload, budgets, and QA/QC to meet quality expectations.
