GFT is seeking an experienced Highway/Roadway Project Engineer to support its Transportation group across multiple Midwest locations. The role involves design and development of roadway projects, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with state DOT and municipal clients.

A PE license and strong highway design skills are required. The position offers a hybrid work environment with a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth in resilient transportation

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in KS, MO, or NE; additional state licensure is a plus.
• 8+ years of engineering experience with broad knowledge of transportation design and highway design.
• Proficient in MicroStation, OpenRoads, and Microsoft Office products.

Responsabilidades

• Design roadway projects from concept to final design, including construction support.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages.
• Coordinate with client staff and project managers to maintain quality and timelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project management activities.
• Attend meetings and coordinate design activities with staff and subconsultants.
