Job summary

Meridian Services in Golden Valley, MN is seeking a Lead HR Specialist to manage employee enrollment, compliance, and operational functions for self-directed service programs across several states and contracts. In this non-supervisory lead role, you’ll train, guide, and audit HR Specialists, support the Senior HR Manager, and drive process improvements while upholding HR policies.

After 90 days you may work from home up to two days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage client employee enrollment, background checks, employment documentation, and ongoing compliance with federal, state, and program requirements.
• Provide accurate, timely assistance to employees, employers, participants, and internal departments; support multiple contracts and provide coverage as needed.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for assigned contracts, providing training, procedural guidance, troubleshooting, and support to HR Specialists.
• Review enrollment records, compliance documentation, and workflows to identify errors, coordinate corrections, and improve accuracy.
• Coordinate New Hire Reporting, exclusion checks, wage reporting, compliance tracking, and other required administrative functions.
• Coordinate and support department initiatives, system testing, workflow improvements, and implementation of new procedures.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, user guides, training materials, and department reference documents.
• Represent HR at interdepartmental meetings, communicate updates, and support collaboration.
