Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Lead Engineer in Connecticut to oversee distribution engineering and asset renewal strategies. The role requires directing engineers, shaping long-term infrastructure plans, and coordinating with System Planning on substations and asset condition analyses.

Based in Waterford CT or Madison CT with hybrid work options, it demands strong leadership, project management and collaboration across teams, including travel and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of eight to ten years in electrical utility engineering/operations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages, coaches, develops and reviews performance of engineers and staff.
• Develops infrastructure strategy and technical basis for asset renewal decisions.
• Collaborates with System Planning on Bulk Power Substations integration.
• Oversees cost and performance of assets including reliability analysis.
• Develops and manages Life Cycle Plan activities over multi-year horizon.
• Provides technical support and direction during normal and emergency situations.
