Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee and mentor facility electrical engineering projects within our engineering test services group. You will lead design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for engines and power systems, ensuring high-quality execution.

Reporting to the engineering manager, this hybrid 3/2 position requires strong technical leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, improve processes,

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years in electrical/facility control systems engineering.
• US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
• 8+ years PLC programming with multiple hardware platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop and test PLC programs for new and existing equipment using best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance for junior engineers.
• Define controls system requirements and detailed functional specifications.
• Lead implementation and testing of new systems and troubleshoot software, electrical and mechanical issues.
• Create clear documentation for operation, maintenance and repair of designed equipment and software.
• Lead troubleshooting of electrical/electronic issues using test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, hi-pot).
• Respond quickly with quality solutions to support customer needs.
