Job summary
Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in a hybrid role based in Oak Ridge, TN, to design, program and test PLC/SIS control platforms for industrial facilities.
You will develop specifications, drive documentation, and collaborate across disciplines while advancing through our Automation Lab and Communities of Practice. US citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance are required.
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance.
- 12+ years in instrumentation and controls or automation engineering.
- Experience with designing, programming, documenting, and testing automated machinery at industrial facilities.
- Able to interface with craft for troubleshooting and problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Work on project teams designing PLC-based control systems and SIS.
- Prepare specifications and design media for procurement and implementation.
- Develop knowledge through mentoring and the Automation Lab training.
- Travel to client offices and project sites as required.
