CMS Energy is seeking an Associate Labor Relations Consultant to provide tailored labor relations guidance and basic HR services to internal clients. This entry-level role focuses on interpreting working agreements, grievance administration, and collaboration with Centers of Excellence.

The position involves training, investigations support, and assisting with staffing processes, with a hybrid work model and relocation options for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR/LR or related field with 0–2 years of unionized workforce experience.
• Associate's degree in HR/LR or related field with 2+ years of HR/LR experience.
• High School diploma with 4+ years of HR/LR experience in a unionized setting.

Responsibilities

• Train first-line supervision on labor relations topics and contract provisions.
• Provide contract interpretation guidance to business leaders to limit grievances.
• Coordinate with People & Culture Centers of Excellence to resolve inquiries.
• Administer the grievance process including Step 1/2 meetings and arbitrations.
• Assist investigations of misconduct and determine disciplinary actions with guidance.
• Support organization-wide initiatives and provide staffing/headcount data as requested.
• Handle postings, promotions, transfers, and organizational management tasks.
