Job summary

Global Electronics Association is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to support daily accounting, with emphasis on accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, and billing. You will help ensure transactional accuracy, timely processing, and assist with a smooth month-end close.

The role covers AR/billing, cash reconciliation, and general ledger tasks, with responsibilities spanning documentation, audits, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
• 2+ years in an accounting function (internships/co-ops acceptable).
• Familiarity with AP/AR processes and billing systems.
• Excel basics (VLOOKUPs, pivots) and exposure to ERP software.
• Highly organized, strong follow-up, customer-service orientation, willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with AI agent use in support of accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate vouchered time and prepare labor costs and journal entries as needed.
• Maintain documentation for time reporting and grant requirements.
• Prepare customer invoices and credit memos; ensure contract/PO alignment.
• Monitor AR aging; perform collections outreach and record communications.
• Post cash receipts and adjustments; maintain customer account accuracy.
• Perform daily cash application and bank reconciliations; resolve unapplied cash.
• Assist with journal entries and basic reconciliations; support audits and internal controls.
