Job summary

Serco Inc. Recruiters are seeking a Junior Recruiter to join a collaborative Talent Acquisition team in a part‑time telework arrangement. The role requires in‑person presence at the Herndon, VA HQ two days per week and participation in local hiring events.

You will support multiple business units, handle candidate communications, conduct initial interviews, and assist senior recruiters in managing requisitions and hiring processes while learning Serco’s recruiting tools and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ year experience in customer service, interviewing, assessment or sourcing.
• Experience using recruiting systems/ATS and automation tools preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for job fairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide candidate support and communicate status updates.
• Conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess fit.
• Assist Lead/Senior Recruiters and manage 20-30 requisitions.
• Draft job descriptions and post ads; update ATS records.
• Maintain candidate/interviewing metrics and requisition data.
