Placements24 is assisting a client in recruiting a Junior Mechanical Engineer for a hybrid role in George. You will help design, develop, and test mechanical components, working with senior engineers to gain hands-on experience and build a solid foundation in mechanical engineering.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, are proficient with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks), and are eager to learn.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Familiarity with 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
Basic understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing methods.
Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and drafting of mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD software.
Participate in testing and validation of prototypes and finished products.
Support engineers in performing engineering analyses and calculations.
Document design changes, test results, and project progress accurately.
Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to resolve design-related issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for existing products and processes.
