Job summary

California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking a Junior Application Developer to provide technical support for Oracle/PeopleSoft applications across HCM, Finance, and Campus Solutions.

Under supervision, you will perform entry-level software development tasks, contribute to maintenance and upgrades, and work with a cross-campus IS team to deliver reliable solutions in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts and practices.
• Ability to write basic code and troubleshoot software issues.
• Proficiency with SQL/SQR and PeopleSoft tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and stay current with new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for CSU's Oracle/PeopleSoft applications across HCM, Finance, and Campus Solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot campus application issues and adhere to SLAs.
• Assist with PeopleSoft development using PeopleTools, Web Services, and related tools.
• Participate in projects to implement new functionality per CSU requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the system.
• Collaborate with IS teams to resolve issues and deliver quality deliverables.
• Produce deliverables that meet standards; undertake special projects as needed.
• Provide on-call support as assigned.
