Enlighten is a cutting-edge technology company seeking a talented Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will work closely with other engineers to create software solutions that meet clients’ needs, using modern Java frameworks and a proactive approach to learning.

The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD 8140/8570 compliance.

Qualifications

• Clearance requirement: U.S. Government Security Clearance (not required day one).
• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience with Java and modern frameworks (e.g., Spring, Guava).
• Experience designing enterprise APIs and RESTful web services.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and OOP paradigms.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java-based software capabilities and complex features.
• Integrate CI/CD practices and ensure robust unit/integration tests.
• Collaborate with engineers to refactor and evolve codebase.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging software trends and technologies.
• Guide AI-assisted features and agentic workflows in development.
