Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a talented Software Engineer to design and implement Java-based software for complex systems. You will create RESTful services, APIs, and microservices while integrating AI agents into daily workflows.

The role requires securing an active TS clearance and working at Fort Meade in a hybrid setup, with occasional on-site collaboration and travel as needed. You will join a cutting-edge team delivering cloud-enabled software solutions.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance required.
• Minimum 5 years in Software Engineering with Java frameworks (Spring, Guava).
• Experience designing enterprise APIs and RESTful services.
• Proficient in Microservices and OOP paradigms.
• Familiar with AGILE lifecycle and tooling (JIRA, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Develop Java-based software capabilities for enterprise systems.
• Design and implement RESTful services and APIs.
• Lead integration of AI agents into engineering workflows.
• Refactor complex codebases and ensure security, performance, and architectural alignment.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, small team environment; travel to customer sites as needed.
