Colorado Legislative Council Staff is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join the System Administration team. You will provide technical support to ensure continuous operation of IT assets for a diverse professional base, including legislators and staff in the Capitol building.

The role is a full-time, salaried state position with a hybrid in-person and work-from-home arrangement. Four-month sessions require more on-site presence, with remote work possible otherwise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT System Administration or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Professional phone and desk-side etiquette.
• Ability to meet deadlines while multitasking.
• Security-conscious with proactive learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent technical support with a focus on customer service.
• Monitor and respond to software/hardware issues across networking, servers, and related infrastructure.
• Manage IAM user accounts, rights, and permissions.
• Troubleshoot issues and document system events to ensure continuity.
• Improve processes and training.
• Collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Support multiple projects and back up teammates.
