Job summary

Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement System in Charlestown, MA is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical assistance for about 125 staff, covering end-user devices, applications, and service desk operations. The role offers exposure to Citrix, AWS, Microsoft 365, and Nutanix, with onsite to hybrid work options and potential conversion to full-time.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of IT support and an associate degree.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT, CS, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years IT support, help desk, or customer service experience.
• MS-900 or CompTIA Network+ certifications preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support for Microsoft 365, MTRS web applications, and Commonwealth applications.
• Log and track service desk tickets using Track-It under guidance.
• Maintain hardware and software inventory including PII assets.
• Perform routine updates, patches, and maintenance under supervision.
• Serve as primary contact for vendor and staff support; coordinate telecom issues.
• Assist with data center hardware and software inventory.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
