Job summary

SGA Dental Partners is seeking an IT Support Technician to assist our dental practices with IT hardware, software, and services. You will work closely with the Senior Systems Engineer to identify trend issues and develop long-term solutions.

This hybrid role requires travel within commuting distance of Salt Lake City, UT for on-site support. You will handle remote tickets, asset inventory, and end-user training while prioritizing first-call resolutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Customer service training or experience is beneficial.
• Experience with dental practice software a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists SGA dental offices via remote support efficiently.
• Tracks issues and solutions in the ticketing system in real-time.
• Maintains inventory of technology assets including hardware, software, and licensing.
• Performs preventive maintenance on computing infrastructure and software.
• Review user manuals and resources to identify solutions to complex issues.
• Collaborates with IT team to resolve issues and provide long-term fixes.
• Prioritizes, diagnoses, and resolves issues with PCs, servers, printers, peripherals, dental equipment, and phone systems.
• Supports Windows, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and other software.
• Handles networked multifunction devices including printing, scanning, and faxing.
• Works with vendors for hardware and specialty software support.
• Escalates to senior IT personnel when needed.
• Installs and upgrades software on end-user computers.
• Local travel and occasional overnight stays are required.
• Analyzes helpdesk tickets for patterns and reports findings to management.
• Represents user perspective in prioritizing issues for greatest impact.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
