Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Frisco, TX is seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to assist end users, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and coordinate hardware and software installations. The role requires strong customer service and diagnostic skills in a hybrid, in-office environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting via multiple channels, maintaining ticket records, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant handling of sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and five years’ experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Works with minimal guidance and supervision.
• CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification preferred
• Familiar with common hardware and software used in an office environment
• Prioritizes tasks and manages time with strong multi-tasking skills
• Travel up to 25%
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service in a friendly and timely manner to all internal and external customers
• Troubleshoots service requests over the phone, in person, or by using remote control tools
• Installs and configures computer hardware, peripherals, and software as needed
• Repairs hardware or schedules repair with appropriate third parties
• Provides quotes and places orders for hardware and software in a timely and financially responsible manner
• Records and monitors service requests in a ticketing system
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality at all times due to access to sensitive information
• Maintains regular, predictable, consistent attendance and is flexible to meet the needs of the department
• Follows all Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations and requirements
• Abides by all regulations, policies, procedures and standards
• Performs other duties as assigned
