Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts seeks an IT Support Specialist within the Committee for Public Counsel Services. The role delivers frontline helpdesk support to staff via phone, email, and on-site, with responsibilities spanning hardware, software, networking, and new technology deployments.

You will travel to multiple offices (up to 40%) and collaborate with IT Infrastructure to implement agency priorities while maintaining confidentiality and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience providing Helpdesk and end-user support in a Microsoft environment.
• 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems.
• 2+ years’ experience managing small projects.
• 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting network or server issues in a Windows environment.
• Travel up to 40% within the Commonwealth.
• Access to home internet sufficient for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, remote login or in person.
• Install and configure desktops, software, peripherals, and printers.
• Support VPN, servers, networking and field offices.
• Lead or support technology projects as assigned.
• Travel to multiple offices around Massachusetts as needed.
