Job summary

City of San José seeks an Enterprise Development Services and Business Automation Manager within the Information Technology Department to oversee enterprise development services and automation across City operations. Lead teams, enforce governance, manage budgets, and drive innovative, cost-effective technology solutions aligned with city priorities.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, system reliability, cybersecurity, vendor management, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and seven years of technology program management experience.
• Experience leading enterprise development and automation projects across multiple departments.
• Valid California driver's license and willingness to hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategy aligned with City objectives.
• Lead Development Services and Business Automation teams; hire, train, evaluate staff.
• Ensure reliability, security, and performance of systems and networks.
• Manage budgets and vendor contracts to optimize ROI.
• Enforce cybersecurity, governance, and compliance standards.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and drive innovative adoption.
• Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and KPIs.
