Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR, seeks a Manager to lead Knight Diagnostic Labs (KDL) and Biolibrary initiatives within ITG. You will direct project initiation, planning, execution and production support, and mentor staff across systems and applications.

Responsibilities include overseeing system specifications, SDLC-based delivery, budgeting, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to align with KDL and Biolibrary goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field with 6 years of experience in IT
• Equivalent experience in a complex IT environment, including labs
• Four years or more as a Project Leader managing enterprise information system projects
• Experience leading development and support teams with budgeting and financial reporting
• Minimum 4 years in progressively responsible management roles
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Lead Knight Diagnostic Laboratories and Biolibrary projects from initiation to production support.
• Coordinate staff, schedule, and budgets; ensure alignment with ITG and organizational goals.
• Define system specifications, requirements, designs, and SLAs; manage SDLC.
• Oversee vendor evaluations, contracts, and communication with stakeholders.
• Foster process improvements and maintain robust documentation.
